The last few weeks...

Wow, I cannot believe I have a little over a month to go! Today we took maternity family pictures in the park before I am too puffy to be recognizable.

Seth hated taking pictures, he just wanted to play in the grass and throw leaves in the stream. I'm not sure how many good ones we got but that's ok. The point was to commemorate the last few weeks of our family of three.

Seems so surreal that we will be a family of four and it won't be just 'me and my boys' anymore. I have adored these past two years and the close bond that we have formed as a little family. Baby girl will fit in like she was always here and then this family will be complete and ready to take on whatever comes our way.

We can't wait to meet you, little sweetie. Soon, very soon.

It's a...

GIRL!!! My little poppyseed, I am still in a bit of shock. When the tech told Daddy and I that you were a girl, I couldn't believe my ears. But you are definitely a little girl and we are getting more and more excited to meet you.

I think Seth will be a wonderful big brother and protect and support you throughout life. May you be fast and long friends.

So we are hitting the 19 week mark tomorrow. Isn't that amazing? I just found out that placenta previa may be a chronic problem so a C-Section could be ordered. Oh well, then you will have a few days in the hospital to snuggle mommy :)

Anyway, I am so excited to have a little daughter. Can't wait to meet you little poppyseed

It's almost time

Well little 'it' baby... tomorrow we find out if you are a he or a she! I really hope you cooperate and give us really good shots of the important bits.

As for predictions, I say you are a boy through and through. You sure kick like one! If the technician says you are a girl - like Grandma thinks - I will be very very shocked. But only you know, little baby and we can't wait to 'meet' you and get to know you as a little person more intimately over the coming weeks.

Either way, big brother Seth will be so excited to have a little playmate. He is ready to teach you all sorts of tricks like how to put puzzles together in record time and say 'juice' and 'clock'.

So until tomorrow little baby...

Time is tickin'

Well the little baby is now 16.5 weeks. So crazy! The time was crawling by at first because I had a scary ultrasound in the beginning and my doctor was worried but not anymore. Little baby is moving around and morning sickness is almost over. May 19th we have the big gender ultrasound. I am sooo excited. This baby is almost definitely a boy, although everyone is saying girl. If the tech says girl next week I will be in total shock.

Sethie has had a terrible head cold which he was kind enough to pass on to me. I'm not sure how many more days of irritable toddler and tired mommy I can take. Maybe the warm weather and my upcoming birthday (29!) will make everything better.

I do have a belly picture from week 14 and I plan on taking one this Thursday at week 17 to see the difference. It looks the same as when I had Sethie which is another factor in my thinking Team Blue!

Prego!!!

It's so funny, I was just expecting 2011 to be this year of excitement, change and progress and did it ever start off with a bang! February 7th we received the big surprise that baby #2 is on his/her way. I am just in shock still, even though morning sickness is 10x worse than with Sethie. I guess the Lord works in wonderful and mysterious ways because that same week Josh received the call that he landed the big job with RBC Bank. So I have a hubby with an amazing new job, a baby on the way (October 20th), Sethie is in part time dayhome and this all happened in a matter of weeks.

Debt-free?

For the sake of Sethie's future, well not his immediate one as the next 18 mths will royally stink, but for the sake of his happy, happy, future we have gone on a debt diet. I know that January is when most people do this. Josh and I did this a couple years ago and it was tough but the reward made it worth it. The ticker to the right will show me, in percentage, how we are doing and I hope it will encourage me to keep my credit card in my wallet!

In other baby news, Sethie is trying to talk sooo badly. He says clock and is trying to say Gibson as he chaces him around the room. Josh is working for dad almost full time as they are so busy which is allowing for a lot of daddy son time. So important at this stage. I would love more mommy son time but it just isn't happening and I need to go with the flow more.
